Accidentally Applying Half of the Recommended Rate of Inoculant Peanut Notes No. 34 2018

In many cases this rate will be adequate but there is significant risk. Unfortunately there is no way to correct this. Dribbling inoculant over the seed furrow will not help as the inoculant will never make it to the roots and most likely will not survive sitting on the field surface. This is another reason why peat-based inoculant (in addition to in-furrow treatments) with seed is good insurance, especially in new ground fields.
