Irrigating Peanut Peanut Notes No. 92 2018

— Written By

Less than 20% of peanut acreage in North Carolina is irrigated, and for that reason research with irrigation in the state is limited. But for growers with irrigation approaches to irrigation are very important. We discuss irrigation in general on pages 35 and 36 on 2018 Peanut Information. Links to two pieces of information from University of Georgia and Clemson are provided below. Many farmers use the checkbook method to initiate irrigation but data often show that there are limitations to this approach.
