Pitted morningglory

Question:

I was called to a farm to look at weed control options. Among other weeds, there is a significant number of pitted morningglories, of which most have started to run. This farm is in a cotton rotation. Knowing that 2,4-DB is weak on this weed, what would you suggest? The farmer is intending to use 1.5 pt. Storm + 1 pt. Butyrac + 2.5 oz. of Zidua.

Jordan:

I would spray 1.5 pints Ultra Blazer, 1 pint of 2,4-DB, and 80/20 surfactant at 1 quart per 100 gallons. The Zidua can be added to help with residual control.
