Fungicides After Delays in Spraying Peanut Notes No. 168 2025

Question:

I was planning to spray chlorothalonil at 24 oz. on my peanuts for the first leaf spot spray, at least a week ago.Rain has kept me out and still haven’t got them sprayed for the first time. Should I stick with the plan or use a different chemical when I can get to it? Rained again over 2 inches yesterday, so may still be a few days before I’m able to get back at it.

Jordan:

I would switch to a treatment with curative activity. Provost Sliver is a good option. There are others, but this is a good one. You will also obtain stem rot control.
