Gypsum and Heavy Rain Peanut Notes No. 116 2025

Question:

I applied 1,350 pounds per acre of Gyp-Master then received 9 inches of rain. Gypsum was not plowed in. Thoughts?

Jordan:

After it dries and peanuts get larger in size, suggest applying half the rate of product.

*We discuss this is some detail in 2025 Peanut Information. Five or more inches of rain over a short period of time when peanuts are small is my threshold to reapply half the normal rate, especially on bedded ground.
