A week or so ago I received a question about carryover of Cadre used in peanuts to sweetpotato planted the following year. I have 18 months in 2026 Peanut Information but that is actually shorter than what the label states (26 months). I reached out to BASF and they helped me find sources of information on this question. One of the most well-respected weed scientists in the United States working in the southeast provided the following information:

1/8 x rate prior to transplanting gave us 72% yield loss and 55% injury. I avoid this one the following year, hope it helps.

At times, the risk of carryover as stated on the label is very conservative. However, based on this information and the label, the carryover to sweetpotato for Cadre/Impose is very real. Avoid Cadre/Impose in peanuts if you plan on planting sweetpotato the year following peanut. Too risky.
