Peanut yield when planting in early and mid-June are about 15% and 25% lower, respectively, than planting in either early to mid-May in northeastern North Carolina. Of course, there is greater opportunity for peanuts to do relatively well the further south we go in the state, primarily due to temperatures we might experience in the fall.
