Dual Magnum plus Valor SX (other Group 15 herbicides can work and generic flumioxazin can work, but metolachlor is what I use PRE.) Making sure seedbeds are clean with burndown herbicides is critical, as you already know.

*My recommendation for preemergence herbicides is the same for conventional and reduced tillage systems. However, incorporation of pendimethalin (Prowl) in conventional tillage prior to planting (with two passes) would help on weed control, especially annual grasses (including Texas panicum) and Palmer amaranth.
