It is better to be late with Prohexadione calcium than early. We don’t want to keep rows from lapping. Even if you get rained out or logistically can’t get all your acres sprayed on time, making an application up to 7-10 days late can likely help with vine management to facilitate efficient digging and vine inversion. We are doing a weekly timing study this year starting from about 2 weeks too early to 2-3 weeks on the late side of lapping. I’ll post results this winter on the portal.
