Sclerotinia Blight Information David Langston VT Peanut Notes No. 199 2025

Based on the weather this weekend and the forecast for the week ahead, Sclerotinia blight will likely be active. While we have some resistance in our varieties, they are not perfect. Much better than the varieties prior to Bailey, but we still need to spray fungicide in many cases. Dr Langston from the Tidewater AREC posted the following about managing this disease.

Recommendations for fungicides Omega and Vantana tank-mixed with a leaf spot fungicide.
