Some fields that experienced excessive rain will likely have low spots with yellow peanuts that may be stunted. In my experience, there is no need to chase the areas with a nitrogen application. Peanuts will begin to green up as soil dries and Bradyrhizobia start fixing nitrogen again. About the time peanut fields dry enough to drive across peanuts will have begun to green. Of course, some areas may stay yellow but most spots will self-correct.
