We are extremely dry on 600 acres of our peanuts and other areas are in good shape. Some of another farmer’s peanuts are looking like they are dying and possibly have spider mites. What would you recommend we do as far as fungicides sprays?

The leaf spot advisory for Kenansville, Kinston and Goldsboro have the last effective spray date of August 8. That is about 17 days ago. If you have sprayed since then do not spray. When did you last spray?
Farmer:
August 15.
Jordan:
You are protected right now. Have you signed up for the advisory? If not, we should be able to get you on the email notification list. Each morning you will get a series of advisories. The LESD (last effective spray date) is the key. If you have sprayed since that date you are protected from disease.
