Brian, thanks for the help getting everything going. I was able to get the last date planted today. I was looking at peanuts in the rotation trial and thrips injury is there. Also cotton. I know you have lots of acephate but we do have spots in the northeast that are likely resistant to acephate. Hemi is the choice in the northeastern part of the state now. It doesn’t mean acephate won’t work at the station. Last year it worked okay in my trials. But, if you want to switch it might be a good shift. I can help with getting some product. You could see how good acephate works first, but ready for a quick follow up.

I agree and in your area would recommend switching to 3 oz Hemi right away.

Given Brian has a good bit of acephate in stock, could he mix the two so he could use it up?

Yes, although a knock off of not using acephate is spider mites are less likely. Note that there have been a lot of western flower thrips in Virginia this year. Hemi is a better product than acephate for them

Thanks for all the info, we anticipated such and hoping by putting AgLogic under most of the cotton and peanuts would really help with thrips control.

That was a good choice but there seems to be more thrips damage than I would have expected.
Lots of rain may also play into the less than desirable control with AgLogic
