Spot Planting After Herbicide Applications Peanut Notes No. 98 2019

Question:

Grower applied Cobra, Butyrac, and Zidua at 2.25 oz/acre last Friday. He has some huge areas where the stand is very poor and now wants to drop in and replant those areas. Label and what I read indicates that peanuts wouldn’t tolerate the Zidua very well. Thoughts?

Jordan answer:

Have not looked at that. I imagine the peanuts will come up and make a stand and that might help on weeds control. But also, they will be immature when the others are ready. If I had some seed already I would plant. If I am buying seed now I probably would not try it.
