Nutrient Deficiencies Based on Tissue Analysis Peanut Notes No. 128 2019

I have received several questions about what to do if tissue analysis is low for certain elements, in particular calcium and potassium. We have not looked at response to foliar applications of these materials. Even though the tissue analysis indicates low levels, in most cases deficiencies are not apparent. Until we look into this more my suggestion is that foliar applications when deficiencies are not apparent likely will not be beneficial. However, this is an area that might require more research. It also depends on one’s definition of critical levels and goals.
