Proactive White Mold Management Question Peanut Notes No. 84 2020

Question:

Peanut field planted May 14 behind soybeans but never had peanuts in the field. We have had 2 big rain events and are getting more now. Do we need to do anything to be proactive for white mold?

Jordan answer:

Not now. Your first spray at R3 needs to include a product with activity on white mold. In July and August each spray needs to have activity on stem rot (white mold.)  It needs to be warmer and peanuts more advanced for white mold to be an issue.
