Herbicide Question Peanut Notes No. 134 2020

Question:

I have some pegging peanuts that have some new weeds coming back (pigweed, morningglory, eclipta, sicklepod) and want to try to clean them up as best as possible. I really don't want to burn them again. Do you have any suggestion other that just Butyrac from this point?

Jordan Answer:

Butyrac will not control this weed complex very well.  At least not completely.  Cadre would do well but would not get ALS resistant pigweeds and would only suppress eclipta.  I would suggest Ultra Blazer plus 2,4-DB plus nonionic surfactant.  Peanuts are growing pretty well right now so best to knock these out if you can.  The bigger concern for herbicide injury is during pod fill.

Question:

Can this be done with a fungicide application?

Jordan Answer:

Should be okay
