Thrips Injury Increases in Many Fields Rick Brandenburg Peanut Notes No. 91 2021

Thrips continue to damage peanuts despite recent rains. Many fields have been treated with a followup foliar insecticide application. Good soil moisture will give peanuts a chance to recover once the thrips populations have been knocked back. Our trials indicate the control from at-plant, in-furrow insecticides has declined this past week (see photos). Rick Brandenburg, Entomology Extension Specialists
