Question:

Which option is better for first of August and end of August?

Option 1

Miravis plus Excalia

Option 2

Miravis plus Tebuconazole

Option 3

Excalia plus Bravo

Jordan:

I would spray a Miravis treatment now rather than at the end of August. The best treatment for late August is chlorothalonil plus tebuconazole. If you spray Miravis and 3 ounces of Excalia now you can get through August. Then apply chlorothalonil plus tebuconazole (if still in August for follow up spray.) Miravis and Excalia give between 3 and 4 weeks of control (leaf spot and stem rot, respectively.) You might need one more chlorothalonil in mid-September (depending on peanut pod maturity, rainfall patterns, temperatures, and logistics) regardless of what you use in the month of August and early September.
