We did a pod blasting yesterday and it looks like I’m at least 2 weeks away from digging. I’ve been watching the advisory on leaf spot and it’s somewhat confusing. Some days spray the next do not. I’m getting close to the 5th spray which I generally concentrate on leaf spot, the vines look great now. Should I spray or not one last time?

The key information on the advisory is the LESD or last effective spray date. Looking at the daily spray or no spray indicator is not the most important element. For Kenansville, the LESD is August 29. If you have sprayed since then the peanuts are still protected from disease. If not, I would spray now. We also recommend that folks have a final Bravo-type spray at the end of the season. Just from a resistance management standpoint and you being 2 weeks out and weather always an unknown, I would spray sometime this week or early next week.
