Acephate continues to be the most effective product to suppress thrips in peanuts after the peanuts have emerged. Radiant SC with surfactant also suppresses thrips. Other labeled options are Baythroid and Brigade but they are not effective in thrips. Some people have asked about applying imidacloprid to peanut foliage. Work from many years ago showed activity against thrips, but with significant resistance in thrips populations to this chemistry, this is not a good option. It is also not labeled for foliar application.
