With night time temperatures like they are this week, what does that mean for peanuts?
Jordan:
It will slow them down, but to really stop advances in maturity, it takes 2 nights in a row in the high 40s or lower. That generally all but stops advances in pod maturity. Partly because the two nights in the high 40s are not in isolation. Even if temperatures warm some, it takes peanuts a while to get back going during the day. There is often a cooling trend before and after the cooler nights.
