Sclerotinia Blight Management Peanut Notes No. 221 2024

Question:

I've got a grower due for a leaf spot spray and seeing a little Sclerotinia blight but not much. I was wondering what you think of using Fontelis? I don't have much experience with that and didn't know if you thought it would be worth it to use it at the higher rate. The peanuts look to be roughly 3 weeks from digging.

Jordan:

The high rate of Fontelis performs similar to 1 pint of Omega 500 and would be a good option now. I would still add a chlorothalonil in 2 weeks for resistance management for leaf spot.
