Last week I had a question about a field with significant Valor injury. Here are my comments:
During this spring, especially the last few weeks, has been ideal for Valor splash up injury. I would do everything I could to help the peanuts move along. Acephate (or Hemi, see earlier Peanut Note) can minimize another stress on these already stressed peanuts. I would not apply another herbicide over the next week or so unless I absolutely had to. In my experience, peanuts will out grow this relatively soon. Try not to ride by the field for another week if you can. They should change for the better but it will take some time. I’ve visited fields and observed a lot of damage. When I’ve gone back a week or so later I thought I was in the wrong field.
