We had a good discussion with NC State Extension agents this morning on out monthly Zoom meeting (called the "Third Thursday at 10" meeting.) The question of when to stop planting peanuts came up. This can be a challenging question to answer. If you can return seed, for example, is an important consideration. In my view, if I could return my seed to the sheller and could not plant by June 10, I would not plant peanuts. I would then switch to soybeans in that field. We are still a good three weeks out from this decision.
