Dan Anco Clemson Comments Peanut Notes No. 111 2022

(Updated: June 18, 2022, 3:33 a.m.)
Herbicide and fungicide sprays continue to go out as well as land plaster on fields as peanuts flower and approach pegging. Land plaster rates in the production guide are 1500 to 2000 lb/A on Virginias and 1000 to 1500 lb/A for large seeded runners. (1000 lb/A on small seeded runners).

Many folks have planned ahead and obtained product that will be used in advance. Between the options of applying Aproach Prima or applying 24 oz Bravo + tebuconazole for a first spray (there are certainly other good options as well), the use of Bravo + tebuconazole has been more consistent in our tests. Use of Aproach Prima can be made more robust compared to applying it alone if it is paired with 16 oz Bravo, and we have seen similar results when combining Aproach Prima with Microthiol Disperss sulfur. Bravo + teb has the advantage of combining multisite leaf spot activity of chlorothalonil, which is also beneficial to buffer single site modes of action that will be applied later, with teb which is still a good product for white mold.
