A few folks have asked about the compatibility of Select (clethodim) being applied with Apogee/Kudos growth regulator at the same time. These products are compatible together, and the Select benefits from the nitrogen and COC that goes out with the growth regulator.

For white mold control, if Lucento is being applied it should not require an additional white mold fungicide to be applied at the same time. Rather than combining several premium white mold control fungicides together, applying them in alternation over the course of the growing season often provides more robust management, in part since we spread out our applications to take advantage of opportunities to water-in the product (from rain or irrigation) to come into contact with the peanut tissues in or at the ground level where protection is needed.

Manganese deficiency is becoming visible in some fields and looks like chlorotic yellowing between the leaf veins. So long as it mixes well with other products (most common partner is fungicide), manganese can be applied when the sprayer is going across the field. If soil levels are low and or deficiency symptoms are showing up in the field, a foliar application will help to supplement the currently deficient growth, with further new growth to also show deficiency symptoms. Mn deficiency shows up more in areas of the field with higher pH, including where the lime pile once was.

Leaf scorch can look somewhat alarming, but this disease is not associated with economic losses. Standard leaf spot fungicide programs are adequate for leaf scorch.

An image of a peanut leaf with 2,4-DB injury is also included. This herbicide causes a temporary whitening that shows up as a type of gradient being most apparent nearest the stem. Peanuts grow out of 2,4-DB injury well without cause for concern.
