Question:
Not a peanut related question but I’m just curious are you are seeing glyphosate-resistant goosegrass in North Carolina? We started seeing it last year in cotton and soybeans, and this year I sprayed some cotton not long ago with a pretty good dose of glyphosate and it didn’t seem to touch it. Glad clethodim is getting cheaper looks like we will be using a lot more of it in the coming years
Jordan:
I have not heard of confirmed resistance, but I know control of goosegrass with glyphosate has dropped off. I think you are correct on our use of clethodim. But we can select resistance to this herbicide just as quickly if not faster than glyphosate. But it is a good alternative for now.
Follow-Up:
Hopefully, some alternatives coming down the pipeline sooner than later, thanks for your help and always good talking to you.
Jordan:
You too.
