Any downside to beginning gypsum applications early (30 DAP)? Thinking about truck issues as a reason to consider.

If big rains come it (gypsum) will likely wash off beds because peanuts are small (and don't capture some of the energy from hard rains.) If planted flat, probably not an issue. If lots of rain in June, calcium could be gone (below pegging zone) by mid July, the time peanuts really need it. I think late is better for gypsum than early.
