Question:

We have a grower with peanuts that received a second fungicide 18 or 19 days ago, and is hoping to spray Monday and Tues. with Provost Silver, assuming all fields are dry enough. Would adding Bravo to the tank be a viable thing to do, since he is a bit behind, either if we see some leaf spot starting, or if we don’t?  It has rained practically every day for the past week, and there has been very little field work done by any of our guys.

It will not hurt to have the better protection but there is no curative activity to speak of from this mix.  Timing, as you know, is most critical.

Thanks. At least one area had well over 20 inches last week.  That was rare, but all had plenty and it was frequent, so looking for any edge that may help.

After you get this spray out I would lean toward shortening the intervals between sprays for the balance of the season with chlorothalonil used for most of the rest of the season.
