This weekend temperatures are expected to dip into the mid to high 40 F range for two days in a row. There will be very little if any increase in pod maturation for the balance of the season after this weekend. Digging should proceed irrespective pod maturity throughout most of the region next week. Temperatures next week are expected to be below normal.
