I have a grower that would like to apply Prowl H20 behind the planter. Grower has always had it preplant incorporated but would like to put out behind the planter to have the herbicide into the season rather than having two weeks before planting. Can this be done? I am familiar with the ppi application but not a pre application.

Yes, Prowl H2O works okay on soil surface and incorporated. The older formulations do not work premergence. The value of either formulation incorporated is a buffer against dry conditions and limited activation.
