Question:
I have a grower that is spraying burndown on cotton and soybean land using 2,4-D roundup valor and has had dicamba in it some also. Going to switch over and spray prowl on peanut land. How extensive should tank clean out be? Going back to burndown once finishes peanut prowl. I know going back to burndown no clean out necessary didn’t know about going into peanut land.
Jordan:
I think with those herbicides triple rinse would be in order just to be safe. With that said, the product labels for auxins are 45 days preplant at normal use rates. If this farmer is going to plant in mid May there would be no need for cleanout. If they are planting in late April I would go to the effort of rinsing the tank well. Just don't want to take any chances with the cost of peanut seed.
