I had a question about thrips control in peanuts that are just now emerging or have been up for a short period. The threshold we use in peanuts is related to thrips injury and not counts of the insect. If you see 25% of leaflets with thrips injury, a foliar application of acephate should be applied as soon as possible. We often use 8 oz/acre.
