It is important to apply Valor within 3 days after planting. The same is true for Brake. Dual Magnum (and generics) and Warrant have more flexibility. Injury potential increases considerably when application of Valor is made closer to peanut emergence. If you planted peanuts and got caught by rain that delays your preemergence application, you can apply Dual products as soon as possible or even when the peanuts are up. If you are at the cracking stage, you can apply these products with paraquat and Basagran. If you are in a situation where ALS resistance is relatively low (Palmer amaranth and common ragweed), Strongarm is a good option if you want to apply something prior to, but close to peanut emergence. Keep in mind rotation restrictions. Those can be found on page 74 in 2024 Peanut Information (corn, tobacco, grain sorghum, and sweetpotato have restrictions on planting behind Strongarm.)
