Yellow Peanuts

With some of the rainfall patterns we have been having, fields are wet and peanuts are yellow. The question is if there is anything that should be done to correct this issue. Is there a silver bullet? In my view, the issue is wet soil and/or cloudy weather.  Nodules and root systems do not function at peak efficiency when soils are wet. In addition, it is rare that applied nitrogen will overcome the fact that soils are wet.  When soils dry, the nodules will become active again at an effective pace. Also, when soils are wet for a prolonged period of time, we have cloudy conditions that also limit photosynthesis. Over time, this will make the peanuts pale.  The only way to correct that problem is for the sun to be out more frequently.

I completely understand why people are looking for something to apply to push peanuts along when the foliage is yellow. However, when it is because fields are wet there is nothing that I know of that will correct the issue other than drying of soil.
